What the Parent Needs Is Support
Enabling is doing something for someone else without a plan to help them do it for themselves. If possible, always recommend you bring some one with you who can help take notes or remind you of the important things you want to say. And then finally, if at all possible, i really recommend you include the child. I know that sometimes it's a lot for the kids to hear, so you mhey, want to have a meating before the meeting, right? But it can be very valuable and very empowering for the child to let know that their voice really matters.
