The Importance of Magnitude-Based Inference in Sport Science
A magnitude-based imprint has become very popular within the sport sciences. It was meant to supplant normal, frequentist statistical methods. The people using it didn't really know how it was working or how it wasn't working. They weren't even given information about how this method really worked.
