The Importance of Struggle
In the book, Sannega says he wants a life that's long but also immune from all ills. He adds: may gods and goddesses alike forbid that fortune keep you in luxury. The idea is that there really is something preferable about what we would think of as the bad things that happened. In Remannan society, not stoic origin, this kind of struggle remains valid today.
