The Dangers of Reporting on the News

I was just thinking about like the people that manage the Guardian live blog, which is quite a stress vortex. I had been following the story from January because I'd gotten to this bad habit of looking at the Guardian in the morning in bed. And just I was getting caught up in the drama of it. It's really hard to know how to make that balance between being informed and taking this seriously. We do need to be as informed as possible on one side but on the other side, kind of getting really caught up in all of that and it starts to dominate your every waking moment.
