John Sutter: Domain names are like real estate. If I own a house and I rent it out to someone who is selling crack, then I am going to be liable for having this business go on in my building as is the crack dealer, as are the customers. There's awful activity all the way down. He says if you hire an agency that makes your logo they can indemnify you against copyright infringement. But at what value? What is the value of that indemnification? Who determines what that domain is worth? he asks.
