Is Management Different if There's Eye Impairment?
It's possible to lose your sight from this it is something of a medical emergency. So if you see zoster on the face that involves the nose or the area of the eye that's definitely going to get a consult go immediately to an ophthalmologist because that is an eye emergency. Similarly if you've got a zoster that's involving the ear that would be typically also Ramsey Hunt syndrome. You may also have a paralysis of the face on that side. That's going to getting a consult to an orolaryngologist. But typically you would start the same treatment right away but they might qualify for intravenous therapy and they're also going to probably get steroids and they may
