How Can We Be Those Spiritual Mothers?

When we become parents, whether spiritually or biologically, that is the time i think god gives us animals and children to humble us. My little dog, mac duff, humbled me very often. Three of my five most prominent spiritual mothers were single women. Is there any mother who really thinks that can't realize that she's not up to this job?
