This year we commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the war. It was the only military attempt by the argentine to antunite to reassert control over the islands. The Falklands are an archipelago in the south atlantic, some 500 kilometers outside h coast of ogentina. They were first settled by the french in 70 64, britain and spaindisputed their sovereignty during most of colonial times.
