The Importance of Repentance
In an offense, if you sinned against me, I do have what you did to me. But I'm not just what happens to me externally. I'm also what's happening inside my heart. The internal woundedness that then produces things that have nothing to do with you. Like if I am bitter, and then my kids are having to pay for it because I'm taking the wound on that I've experienced. That's why I'm asking a question. It's not dynamic or complicated or complex or multi level. Right. So I think it's, I think that we flattened forgiveness to be something that is simply one plus one equals two."
