The Importance of Experience in the Public Service

Michael Sabia has been in a variety of jobs over the last 30 or 40 years. It was never a question of who's going to get this job, it was they were begging Michael Sabia to join that appears to be what's happened here on Hydro Colbeck. I do believe it's useful for people to go in the public service, go out, breathe some different air and come back. To make your private sector experience pay off in the public sector, you first need to understand the public sector. And it is a learning curve. So me, I think the ideal track is Sabia's track.
