The Importance of Care in the Economy

I feel like conventional economics one of the ways that yeah it's a sort of ignores care is that every employee that you hire there was an incredible amount of labor that went into that employee. I mean this is why I'm super skeptical of current approaches to artificial intelligence which seem to imagine that if you just cobbled together enough enough thermostats and so on then you'll get a person. If you want consciousness people are cheaper because all the costs of creating people are externalized they're born by someone else.
