The scientific image is the world of atomic and subatomic particles, fundamental forces and equations that make sense of them. The Bible tells us the deeper meaning of the manifest image. In the world of power and control interpreted for us by the scientific image, the human person is fundamentally unsafe. Despite appearances interpreted naively, the podium before me here is really 99.9% empty space.
