"I've been in your hotel room. That's my sort of inside look chapter that where I kind of describe what I do when I do guidebook research," he says. "You have this inside track, you know, you're trying to be a traveler and write for the general traveler but you do have access to some insights that other people don't" He adds: "And it was really fun to read the chapter on the joy of travel writing to remind me how quirky and fun it is."
