Pope's Conversations With Viktor Orban
Frances Durnley: I register quite a lot of concern, anxiety this morning, regarding the conversations that he's been having with Viktor Orban. In June last year, regular listeners will recall that he said that the Ukraine war was perhaps somehow provoked an illusion by NATO expansion. He also suggested that some minority groups of soldiers had behaved worse than others in the invasion in Ukraine. So there is reason to be concerned that perhaps if there is a likelihood of some kind of peace mission taking place, that it may be looking for a softening of a position of Western unity on the need for Russia to be outright defeated.
