Tareem was written by someone who didn't dare to reveal the identity in the 60s. Lyrics were about Uyurs being taken to Tareem labour camp, one of the most notorious camps near the Tareem river. It's the second largest desert in the world, this teclamacan desert, that those camps still exist. Those prisoners still are forced to pick cotton in there. Rahima Mamut: "When the regime does all it can to break us, expressing joy is a true act of defiance"
