The Evolution of Human Needs
Human beings have certain needs, which are very different to the assumptions that are basic to corporate capitalism. Children need to belong in an attachment relationship where they feel absolutely safe and secure. As adults, we have the need for connection and belonging, for meaning, and for purpose in our lives. You be proud people of those needs, they're going to suffer. So it's toxic. That's not too heavy duty for you, but that's my diagnosis."
When it comes to disease, mental illness, and addiction in our society, trauma is largely misunderstood and not discussed enough.
