The Different Types of Organisms

When you think of an organism, that's sort of a single living thing. Does it have to have multiple organ systems? Well, a bacteria doesn't have organ systems. In fact, that doesn't even have tissues. It's just a single cell. What about a tree? What does that have in common with an ant that they can both be called organisms? And an ant's not even exactly another wasp and so on.
