This chapter discusses the tactics used by the men in the war, including holding lances straight while hanging off to one side of the horse for protection. It also addresses the demographics problem faced by Belivar and the resistance faced by the legions of hell at La Pueda pass. Rivas makes a fortunate discovery at the end of the chapter.
