The Importance of Moral Ambiguity in the Study of Empathy
People want to hear the explanations for the bad guys way more than they do for the good or the ambiguous target. So we measure that at the final time point and satisfaction is lowest for the immoral agents compared to the morally good ones. People say that they're really interesting. They select them very frequently. They want to learn about them, but they don't find the explanation that's satisfying. And then I guess the question is why, why why this be something that we do?"
