John Wayne made Rio Bravo as a response to high noon. He thought it was too much of a revisionist Western and he liked the classical Western so then he made Rio Bravo in response. The whole collective is coming together, not individuals at all right like thatYeah I mean there is the Western hero but then he's much more than just Ethan Edwards.
