How Does the Base Factor Work?

Base factor is the extent to which one hypothesis out predicted the other. It's also basin obdating, but on the level of hypotheses instead of parameters. If you have a very implausible hypothesis, it needs a very strong base factor in order to overcome the prior scepticism.
