How Quickly Did US Policy Change in Ukraine?

I thought that Ukraine would fall quickly, not just lose, but that it would happen quickly and I'm happy I was wrong. So we were very focused on surging the type of equipment that would be useful in that scenario. We had scooped up during the Cold War on various battlefields around the world, refurbished it and sent it off to Ukraine. And so a lot of the work we did also was trying to help keep their Soviet legacy air defense systems, for example, up and running.
