In 19 85, bill's beloved mother, irene, became ill and had to be placed in a nursing home. It was the first time in his life he had been separated from his mother. His days began at four forty five a m so he could take a bus to a downtown hotel where bell hops helped him button his cuffs and fasten his tie. After 12 hours on the streets, he' return home to type his orders. By then, shelley knew there was nothing she wouldn't do for him. She still helps her friend bill make his deliveries.
