A Fugue by Deb Debenhams

A fugue is when a single voice introduces a theme, and then other voices echo the theme while the original voice carries on. This fugue culminates not with a resolution, but with a beseeching cry that includes two chords stacked on top of each other. One of the most dissonant moments in the entire piece,. until once again, det slams the door and we return back to the music of the opening. It uses the natural momentum of the fugue form to create a thrilling climax, one that is meaningful in every possible way.
