Lipsack P256K1 is a Bitcoin native library. Instead of using OpenSSL for all the signatures it uses Lipsack P, which Peter Violet wrote at the time. And that's also an performance improvement. So we got rid of OpenSSL altogether. Another thing that happened in, I think, 2017 is that the UTXO database, just the database structure was changed. If you structure a database in a more intelligent way, it can perform better. That I think was in turn the cause of this very scary inflation bug in 2018.
