The Different Accounts of Intuition
Wayne Williams: Intuitions are mental states or events in which a proposition seems true. Some philosophers equate intuitions with beliefs, giving us the account of intuition A1. He says that belief that P is neither necessary nor sufficient for intuiting that P. In other words, there are many cases where beliefs and intuitions come apart - we might say conflict.
