What Does It Look Like to End a Friendship?

When a friendship ends, you have to address it with the long term friend. You trigger what's called ambiguous loss, which is we don't have clarity as to why something ended. So please be kind by actually having a conversation with your long term friend and just saying to them, i've been having some thoughts about our friendship us. Use eye statements. But then, get ready for something called disefranchised grief, which is the grief we feel when other people do not invalidate the gravity of our loss. When you lose a friend, it can, again, be a lot harder to grieve the endings of friendship.
