The Three M's of Conservative Healthcare
The US spends about 18% of GDP on healthcare. Singapore spends 4%. So they spend roughly a quarter, what we do actually less than a quarter. The government among other things controls pharmaceutical costs by deciding which drugs you will be able to use and the money they have forced you to save for healthcare on. It also comes in the context of a health delivery system where the government basically controls all supply. If you tried to propose anything like this in America, you would be locked in jail.
