The Importance of Atmanirbar Manufacturing

I think the best way forward is to be completely Atmanirbar, completely indigenous manufacturing. If you buy American aircraft, you have to give up a lot of sovereignty. We should invest in our own manufacturing capabilities and we have extremely talented people. Most likely it's going to be the Rafale, not the F-16, F-18 or whatever,. The F-22, F-35, most likely the Rafale. And if the Russians can give us a good deal, like TOT, transfer of technology then we could look into the Su-57.
