Investigators could not observe a conspicuous change in the elevator sition when they did the test themselves. The only thing he would have seen, the only visible sign of this problem was, i he would be able to see that there was a slight change in the Elevator's resting position outside the plane. But that horizontal stabilizer is 15 feet above the ground, so looking from the ground, looking up at it, you probly would't be able to tell that it was, that therewas a slight seven degree difference on it. That's why they couldn't use the elevator to push the plane back down because it was malfunctioning.
