versingeteric may have fought as one of caesar's troops. The theory is, and i think there's no harm in speculating that he commanded some auxiliary troops. Course, they wouldn't be in the main body of the roman army. But if you are gaul and you are going to appoint somebody to lead you against caesar, that would be a good person to lead. I guess it would wouldn't it?
