The first thing which is probably actually the most important problem to identify is the cost of these things, both upfront costs and broader trends. Sometimes the initial contract will be very cheap for different outsourcing functions,. And companies are allowed to low ball in ways that can be completely egregious sometimes. It's an example of how technology leads to services being privatized in a way that maybe we wouldn't want but is actually what ends up happening.
