How to Invest in a Company
I categorize the industries by growth, defensive and cyclical. I don't advise an investor to first of all buy a stock because they've heard a rumor is going to be taken over. That was a major faux pas. I do not recommend buying a stock because there's insider trading as it doesn't mean anything to them but does to you if you're buying something. If you want to look specifically at individual securities opposed to just buying a broad market ETF for example what are some key things to look out for?
