How to Train People to Recognise Faces
We lack a language to describe what we are experiencing when we're recognising faces. So would it be possible to teach the rest of us what the super recognises are doing? What we know about face recognition so far is that it seems to be a largely genetic-based thing. We see quite a strong relationship for identical twins and their face recognition ability. When we have looked at trying to train people to get better, we can improve the average person by about 5%. But we can't make up for the differences that your genes make.
