Apple takes 30% of the purchase price and then taxes go away out of that. Apple was at the time incentivizing people to create subscriptions by lowering their cut. I wanted to do things like drag down menus where you tap and hold, you basically you touch and you drag downward on any of the menu items in the main toolbar. And it gives you this little basically contextual menu before those were a thing. It's quite a workaround to try to do anything like a trial. Like it's something that I was kind of hacked their way into a bit. It's not designed for it at all.
