Yam Fries Are a Big Thing in Ghana.
Yam fries are a big thing you'll find in Ghana. You get a little hockey puck of yam, it's been like sliced up and it's all sort of meant to ground itself in your stomach. The Asante Haile is trying to keep together a coalition of tribes with their own chiefs who pay tribute to him. There is then beef that kicks off in the early 19th century, and this is where we get into the part of the show where I have to honk my colonialism.
