Nigerian Dr Femi Johnson says he feels like a slave working for NES. He helped set up a WhatsApp group to better understand what his compatriots are experiencing. The BMAs worried too because these doctors can be detached from the rest of medical community and less likely to report unfair treatment. They've done a questionnaire completed by 188 doctors working as resident medical officers mostly with NES but some with other employers. 92% were recruited from Africa and most of those 81% were from Nigeria. Most complained about excessive hours and unfair salary deductions.
