How Long Did It Take You to Write a Book?

Once i had an outline of what the chapters would be, i wrote a sample chapter. And it was at that point that i really started to understand what sort of time commitment it was going to take to be able to write. So did you write the entire book? Did you find an agent? Did what did you actually do once you knew what you wanted the book to look like in general? That's when you ultimately ended up with he wiley, as you're your publisher.
