Tusla was obsessed with the idea of alternating current. In 18 88, he spoke for an important group of engineers at columbia. His alterning current motor worked so well that same year, he licenses those patents to george westinghouse. He's gone from working on arc lighting, i take it, to now working in his own lab on developing this motor.
