What Is an ARG?

An ARG or alternate reality game is defined by Wikipedia as an interactive networked narrative that uses the real world as a platform. There's a long, proud history of ARGs from Orson Welles' infamous War of the Worlds to The Last Broadcast and The Blair Witch Project. What if there was something that had been around for centuries in various forms? But if there was an ancient global game that had existed for centuries, perhaps even millennia, why hadn't more people heard of it? How could somebody or something keep the existence of a game like that? A secret? It's Rabbits.
