The Irony of Constructivism and Behaviorism

constructivism has picked up the worst part of behaviorism. It assumes that it's not possible to understand people's thinking at all. People who talk from a constructivism type of perspective often speak in a highly idealistic way about both goals and methods they say really idealistic vague sounding goals and then are very vague about how it's going to be achieved. There's actually an entire extra podcast I go in a whole podcast series on this on the the science of reading and why it's all been messed up by people who have the wrong ideas. If you're interested is called solder story and it's really a good listen so I'd recommend listening to solder story anyway.
