The Balance of Political Forces in the US Congress
The biodynamics bill had to make its way through Congress. It's hemmed in by three big forces inside the US Congress that are also there in other countries and jurisdictions like the EU. One of those big ones is the power of the deficit talks, who don't want spending to be greater than revenue. The second sort of big powerful group are China hawks, including in the administration themselves. And then a third extraordinarily powerful one are fossil capitalists.
