The End of Fascism in Western Sahara

Western Sahara nearly achieved independence at the point when Iberian fascism came to an end. But that didn't happen because Morocco invaded or Hassan wouldn't wear it, and he put an end to it with a show of force. That was because of the death of Franco and the end of fascism in Spain. And Morocco has turned Western Sahara into a very successful settler colonial project. With phosphate mining, is that right? Yes, phosphates are a big resource, but fisheries too are a bigresource. There's a tuffle going on now with the European Union, between Morocco and the EU, about whether any fishing can be included in forthcoming trade deals.
