We are talking, as we did with Tony, about emotional goodbyes. This is from Joe when his son managed to cram a wooden building block into my commemorative 2005 Champions League winners mug. And because the recovery of the block and subsequent happiness of our son was more important than the integrity of my mug, she smashed it with a hammer. Jake has only recently thrown out a towel that he had since 2004 because it felt special. I think the world needs a news breath. They need a little bit of radio silence maybe. Is that a crime?
