This squadron had nine aces. Greg Boington, John Bolt, who went on to become the Marine Corps's only two war ace because he became an ace in the Korean War II. Chris McGee, Bill Case, Mo Fisher, Bob McClure, Paul Moonmullen, Ed Olander, and Henry McCartney. They shot down 97 enemy aircraft with a further 35 probable and 50 damage. And they destroyed nearly 30 ships of varying kinds.
