The Importance of Owning Your Music

The singer-songwriter started out doing covers, but is now much more comfortable doing her own material. She says she still wants to get better at playing the piano and has a little bit of a fiddle fantasy. Her favorite vocalists are Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton.
