Anna Scott is the host of KCRW's new podcast, City of Tense Veterans Row. She says it would take $8 billion a year for 12 years to end homelessness in California. "We do actually know how to fix this," she says. But applying those things more broadly comes with a huge amount of challenges.

When the Veterans Administration failed to build the homes it promised, unhoused vets built a tent city across the street — in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. KCRW’s Anna Scott tells their story in “City of Tents: Veterans Row.”
