The Hawley Hymn
Local churches capitalized on the monster fever to help promote vacation Bible school by sending out flyers featuring a crude drawing of the Hawley hymn. There is so much more ape-like creature lore here in Texas that I would have imagined. Some researchers say these things down here may not be the same things that we have in the Pacific Northwest. It might be some sort of branch or relative. A lot of these leave three toed footprints instead of the regular five toed. Yeah, especially down in the folk monster. That's my favorite part of the country. They're getting around.
