The Fire of Coals and the Fish and the Bread
Jesus has prepared a fire of coals with fish and with bread. Peter said to him, lord, why can i not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you. Jesus answered, will you lay down your life for me?" Here he as been told that to demonstrate his love for christ, he is to demonstrate it by loving and caring for christ's people in their vulnerability. The physical strength that peter has just displayed, will depart, and he will be girded, as jesus was, for the utmost act of service.
