I prefer the sensation of heat coming down rather than coming up through me. I have mostly been buying my towels from Kmart. The only issue with the thickness of your towel is how many you can get in the washing machine at any one time. You might only be able to get two of the super big towels in your machine compared to the thinner ones. If you're doing all that washing yourself, that can make the difference between absolutely getting everything done and having towels clean the next day.
